Certified Nursing Assistant
The interview went well, but the waiting is really tough. How long does Phoebe usually take to respond after an interview? Do you guys call daily for updates, or is it just a waiting game?
- What makes you want this job?
Patient Safety Officer
It's a bit of a long haul from when you submit your resume, usually takes 6-8 weeks, but mine was 10. First, there's a call with the recruiter. Then, I had group interviews with the COO, CNO, and CMO. A week later, I interviewed with hospital directors of nursing, followed by a group interview with 4 people from Risk Management, then Quality, and finally some frontline staff. The culture here is interesting - patient safety is really pushed by the CEO, COO, and CMO, although the CNO seems more focused on just getting things done.
- Beyond doing the standard organizational survey, what concrete actions would you propose to enhance the safety culture for inpatients, outpatients, visitors, and staff?
Supply Chain Analyst
I went through an interview process for a supply chain analyst position at Phoebe Putney. The interview was conducted in person. Initially, there was a panel discussion with colleagues where they asked some questions, lasting about 30-45 minutes. Following that, I was given a laptop and a spreadsheet without any specific instructions and asked to analyze the data. This part took another 30 minutes. I created a pivot table and demonstrated some filtering capabilities, though it was tough without clear objectives. Finally, I had a conversation with a manager. The entire visit lasted over two hours, which felt a bit long for the role.
- Do you know Excel?
- Could you create a pivot table using Excel?
Systems Analyst
I got a call from the recruiter, and then I scheduled an onsite interview. I met with the Department Head first. Later that day, I met with the team of analysts. The questions they asked were hypothetical "what ifs" for situations that didn't actually apply to the job. There wasn't any clarification for the questions, so you had no idea if you were answering them the way they wanted.
- What would you do if a crisis came up just before you were scheduled to leave for a doctor's appointment?
