i applied through campus recruitment and the first online interview went well. the second interview was in-person and the interviewer was really condescending and a show-off. he kept bragging about how his team is the best and always at the top. when the interview started, he immediately said, 'ive interviewed a lot of people and they all say the same thing, so tell me what's different about you?' in a very rude, uninterested, and arrogant tone. i know these questions are common, but his tone, phrasing, and apparent disinterest, like he was wasting his time that he could use to make more money, really annoyed me. after the second interview, i asked for an update, but they never replied, which was unprofessional and a waste of my time. i don't recommend this.

they will try to low ball you when discussing on salary expectations, like asking "don't you think your salary expectation is too high with your age/working experience?" Personally, this question is fine if he asked in the way like asking why should we pay you this amount, so I can answer what kind of value I could bring to the company to match the salary expectations, Other than that, they will ask quite numbers of technical questions. so pls ensure you are well prepared or be honest.

I interviewed with a really nice interviewer who seemed genuinely interested in my background. They asked good, relevant questions and made me feel comfortable. I was waiting to hear back about the next steps. The HR department finally contacted me with an offer after about two weeks, which felt like a long time but was worth the wait. The offer letter was detailed about the job, pay, and benefits. Even though there was a bit of a delay in the offer, the interview itself was positive, and I think the company takes its time to find the right people. I accepted the offer because I'm excited to join them.

I had a 45-minute initial call with the hiring manager on a Saturday afternoon, and it was pleasant. It was a virtual meeting with the hiring manager, another manager, and a director on the call. It was pretty straightforward, and I felt like I was just answering questions from their list. It wasn't really a conversation, more like answering their questions. One of the managers seemed disinterested from the start and spoke condescendingly. I don't understand why he had to nitpick about salary during the first interview and ask me to justify my salary, then ask for the lowest I could accept. I also mentioned I'm currently working for a rigid, traditional company, among other questions. The interviewer kept adding his own remarks, then said he had a solution and grinned. Generally, it was a pleasant interview, but there were moments where the interviewer seemed to be showing off how 'smart' he is and looked down on me, making the whole interview unnecessarily long and awkward.

  • Do you know you had a great boss? You won't get that from me.
  • You're asking for $xx salary? *laughs*, how did you determine that amount? Can you explain?
  • Oh, I see, but I just want to know the absolute minimum you'll accept, tell me now.
