Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Philip Morris International.
Stage Marketing
it was a phone call interview where they asked questions starting from the resume and a final question in English. Then there was a group interview and then a final interview with the managers. The last two were at the company's headquarters.
- Basic questions from the resume and in-depth with practical cases proposed by the managers.
- A final question in English.
Marketing Executive
So there were 5 steps in the interview process. First up was an HR phone interview, then I had an interview with the HR and the brand manager. After that, there was an aptitude test. This was followed by an interview with the head of the category. The final stage was a 1 and a half hour case study/interview.
- In your career, what are you most proud of?
- Describe a situation where you had a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it.
- How would you go about launching a specific product into a new market?
Brand Ambassador
I had a call with a recruitment agency, then a casting the next day. After that, I had an interview with the Philip Morris team, involving Q&A and a personal interview with two Philip Morris employees and someone from the recruitment agency. It lasted 3.5 hours. Five weeks later, I still hadn't heard back, so I called the agency who told me I wasn't selected. The interview was interesting, it's a shame the company doesn't inform candidates, especially after a 3.5-hour session. They didn't keep their promise about letting us know.
- What are the places where you go out and meet people?
- Are you a smoker?
- Did you understand the mission well?
