First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Philam Life.
Financial Advisor
They initially try to impress you and make some unrealistic promises to recruit you onto their team. This also helps boost their team's performance metrics, which in turn elevates their standing within the company since teams are ranked. Regardless of any provided training, persuading strangers to buy insurance is not a simple task to guarantee.
- Are you prepared to undertake the necessary examination to qualify as a financial advisor?
Management Associate
I had two interviews for the Management Associate role. The first one was a group assessment with about 9 other candidates. We started with an orientation about the program, then we were put into groups to work on a case study. The panelists watched us during the case study. After the case study, the panelists asked us questions to gauge our thinking, and then we each had to write an essay individually. The second interview was with two senior officials and was focused on assessing our fit for the company.
- What led to your idea for solving the case problem?
- Could you share how you arrived at the solution for the case study problem?
Investment Associate
I thought this interview was for Philam Life, but it turned out to be for their subsidiary, PAMI. The interview process lasted for one day. It started with HR, then there was an exam, followed by a meeting with the Group Manager, and then the Department Head. I received the offer the following day.
- Are you currently applying to other companies?
Wealth Portfolio Manager
The process moved quickly. It was a comfortable interview setting where I felt I could really be myself. The staff members were friendly and easy to talk to. The interview experience was helpful for self-discovery and understanding my potential for success. It presented a great opportunity for me.
- Can you tell me about your long-term career aspirations?
