Investigator
After doing some paperwork with HR, you meet one of your potential supervisors. They go over your resume and ask you about times you've dealt with certain situations and how you handled them. They also want to know how comfortable you are with these kinds of situations and what the job will be like.
- Can you share a challenging experience you had and explain how you handled it?
- Tell me about situations you've encountered in the past and how you responded to them.
- How comfortable are you with handling these types of situations?
Corporate Recruiter
i interviewed with the Director and the person I would replace. they needed someone that had recruiting experience and i fit the bill. it is a small department so personality fit was important. i felt very comfortable with the Director. i had more than enough experience to show that i could handle the job without any trouble. they offered me the job that day.
- Describe your hiring process for applicants.
Assessment Worker Trainee
Applied online and got a call the next day to set up an interview for the day after. When I got there, I waited about 20 mins and then went to an HR room for an interview with 2 people. It was a really chill interview, and the two women were nice and easy to talk to. After that, they asked if I wanted to stay for another interview with a supervisor. I said yes. While waiting, I sat at a computer and had to do an assessment, which they warned me would be hard, and it was. I also filled out a paper application and some other forms (I think for drug screen consent, background check). Then the second interview started... I was interviewed by 3 people. One was nice and easy to get along with, another was okay, and the third was kind of condescending. I had prepared by reading their website and common interview questions, but I wasn't ready for questions like how I'd conduct an interview, how I'd figure out if someone needed their services, and what to watch out for. Some questions felt like they needed training first, especially since it's an entry-level job. I didn't get an offer and didn't really expect one. They're very thorough, which is good these days!
- How would you conduct an assessment?
- What would you look out for to determine if someone needs assistance?
Assessment Worker
The interview process was smooth and quite good. It was within scope and very direct. Professional too! It requires minimal preparation and extensive reasoning. Applicants should familiarize themselves with working with the aged. I found the process quite great, and a good learning process too.
- How have you handled working under pressure in the past?
