First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PGi.
Account Executive
I was contacted via email and phone for an interview. I had a virtual interview and thought it went really well. It included standard questions about my prior experience, selling style, and skill set. I didn't realize I was supposed to have used the software platform beforehand, which might have hurt my impression since I wasn't on webcam and wasn't app-savvy. Still, I had a great conversation with the hiring manager and fully expected a callback for a second interview, which sadly didn't happen. I even sent a follow-up email expressing my continued interest in the company and position, but I never even received a reply stating they weren't interested.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience?
- How would you describe your approach to selling?
- What are your key skills and abilities?
Service Experience Manager
It was an internal position. I applied online and then got an email from the Internal Recruiter asking me to complete an SEM Assessment, which was essay questions. They asked about 12 questions total during the interviews after selecting 8 people. They asked behavioral questions like 'tell me about a time when...' and also asked about my experience with internal tools and MS Office. There was a second interview and a simulation after that, but I didn't make it to that stage. They eventually selected their new team member. The whole process took about 2 weeks. I enjoyed getting more interview experience overall.
- Regarding the job description, please explain how you fit the requirements and how you'll contribute to the team's success.
- Can you describe your experience with client research or investigations? Detail your method, success rate, and any other relevant information.
- Share an example of when you systematically and clearly developed and communicated solutions to client issues. What medium did you use for your client presentation?
Account Development Manager
I interviewed for this position believing that I had a realistic opportunity for the job. After going through what I was told as the final interview process, I received no answer or feedback about the opportunity. I sent a thank you letter, and gave a follow voice mail to the sales manager as well as assistant. I just think that it was rude to not respond at all to my messages. I was told to specifically follow up with the sales manager to find the result. Days later, I feel that no response from them meant no interest. Both personal interviews, I was told were going to be panel interviews with at least two people. There seemed to always be some conflict or delay. Initially I attributed the lack of consideration due to a busy schedule. But in hindsight, I see that this is just a place that is lacking in management skills. I have no regrets about the missed opportunity.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Sales Associate
It was one of the worst interview experiences. Started with a recruiter screening. Then a Teams interview with the hiring manager, who had issues with their setup and audio. The second round was also with the hiring manager, where I presented my slides. The third round was with the VP director. Throughout the process, they made false claims about us being top candidates, which felt unprofessional, especially since they only seemed interested in the work itself.
