First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PGA TOUR Superstore.
Intern
I applied online and then had a phone call pre-screen. After that, there were a mix of virtual and in-person interviews. Finally, I visited a store to get a feel for the environment and meet some of the employees.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
- Could you tell me about your school history?
Area Manager
The interview process started with a phone call. After that, there was a 1.5-hour interview that focused on how I handle various situations, my past job experience, and my goals. It was a pretty standard manager interview. You should be ready for questions about customer service and specific management scenarios.
- Can you explain what excellent customer service looks like and how you provide it?
- Could you describe your approach to customer service and how you manage specific situations?
Club Repair
Crafting a successful interview process is crucial, in my experience. Clear job prep and communication set the stage for positive candidate experiences. Using diverse panel interviews, varied assessments, and flexible, inclusive practices allows for comprehensive evaluations. Post-interview debrief sessions and continuous feedback contribute to ongoing refinement. This approach not only identifies fitting candidates but also enhances an organization's reputation and fosters positive candidate relations, as I've seen in my professional experience.
- Have you had previous work experience in a similar role?
Cashier
Had a phone call that went well, they asked basic retail questions. Knowing about golf would be useful but it wasn't a must. The place didn't seem super friendly. The in-person interview also went fine, but if you end up getting the job, be aware that the hours can be a bit of a pain, especially with closing shifts.
- Can you share your past experiences working as a cashier?
