It was mostly about explaining your hands on experience. They asked what you know about CI CD Automation, Terraform, Monitoring tools, Blameless analysis, and Incidence management. Also, a walk through of application tools you are familiar with and how you were able to solve a technical problem.

The overall interview process was pretty good, though maybe a bit too many interviews. People were super friendly and relaxed. First, there was a remote interview to get to know me and assess my general JavaScript knowledge. This was followed by a coding assignment in ReactJS, which was straightforward and didn't require a huge time commitment, though you could spend more time on it if you wanted to add extra features. The second remote interview involved a code review and was also quite relaxed. Then, there were 5 onsite interviews covering algorithms, back-end API design, general knowledge, and background checks by different company members. I wasn't expecting the algorithm interview, but they were helpful. The back-end interview was enjoyable and interesting. There was also a pair-programming session with a team member, which was relaxed and fun. They covered traveling expenses and food.

This was a super disappointing process. I initially spoke with the hiring manager who told me I'd have between 6-8 interviews. Then I met with the hiring manager's peer, HR, the Director of the CS team, another Director from a different team, and finally the CTO. All these interviews were very casual, asking me about myself and letting me ask them questions about their roles and the company. I felt each interview went really well, and they always said I'd move to the next round. After the last interview, which I also thought went great, they ghosted me. I reached out to follow up about the position and never heard back. I get that I might not have been the most qualified, but I expected better communication after weeks of interviews. It felt really disrespectful and rude.

I had several interviews with different people from the team who are based in different countries. They asked a lot of questions about my background, my technical knowledge, and how I work with others. I also got to ask them questions about the company. It took a while because there were so many interview rounds, but the team was really nice to talk to.
