First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pew Charitable Trusts.
Principal Associate
The interview process took a long time, including one phone screener and two team interviews that happened over roughly three months. The HR person was really nice, but the process kept getting delayed, and they missed several update deadlines they had set for themselves. The interview process with the team itself was great, and I was very impressed with how much care and interest they showed in engaging with me.
- Can you tell me about your project management experience?
Director
I had a call with HR, and they said I was a good fit, but then they ghosted me. It was really unprofessional, I wish they would at least send a rejection email. It's frustrating when you spend your time interviewing and don't get any closure.
- What are your thoughts on working in rigid environments?
Coordinator
I was approached by an internal Talent Acquisition Associate who worked with me on an initial phone screening. After that, I was scheduled for a panel interview with two individuals. At that time, they provided the benefit details, which was nice to know ahead of the interview. I ended up not being selected, but they were very professional the entire time and let me know my status in a timely manner.
- Describe a situation where you missed a deadline.
Associate
It started with a phone screening, which was super chill and they said I was good to go for the next step. Then I had a 45-minute chat with the hiring manager. We really clicked, and she seemed super experienced and knew her stuff when it came to interviewing. I figured I'd hear back in a couple weeks. I even pinged HR, but crickets. First time getting ghosted, honestly. For a company with their resources, you'd think they'd at least shoot back an email.
- What are your career aspirations for the next 3-5 years?
