First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Petronas.
Intern
I interviewed for an internship role at Petronas. The interview was online and included introductions, behavioral questions, and questions about the role that assessed my adaptability and writing abilities. The panel was professional and friendly, making me feel comfortable and less nervous. Although I didn't get an offer, I valued the structured process and learned a lot about what Petronas looks for and their culture. It was a fair and professional interview.
- Can you share an experience of a group project where you encountered difficulties, and how you managed them?
Intern
You start by sending in your resume, then there's a quick chat with HR to see if you meet the basic requirements. After that, you get into the real interviews with people from the department or maybe a manager, where they really dig into your technical skills and what you can actually do. Sometimes, they might have you do a panel interview or a practical test. If all goes well, you'll discuss the offer, and they're looking for both skills and someone who fits in with the team.
- What makes you want to work here?
Intern
The interview process was smooth, although the interviewer spoke Malay and had a very casual way of asking questions. They mainly asked about our commitment to the internship, where we live, and how we would commute to the workplace. Not many questions were asked about the specific position or department we chose.
- Who is the company's president?
