Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Petrolink Services.
Software Developer
This was the worst interview I've ever had. The panel asked really basic questions and laughed at me. It was a terrible experience and a waste of my time. I saw bad reviews before, but now I've experienced it myself. The environment felt toxic.
- Could you describe your coding process?
Software Engineer
They might be having walkins for promotion purposes. They just ask silly questions, not a proper interview schedule. The technical panel is not well. I didn't feel like it was a big organisation interview. When the interview panel asks silly questions and they laugh at each other's faces, the candidate feels like a "joker". I really felt fed up after the interview rounds. 3 days later I got the offer letter, but I told them "not interested".
- Can you explain Oops concepts?
- What about polymorphism?
Software Engineer
First they contact you by phone and then you have to schedule an interview. Interviews were very professional. All questions are related to the entry level profile. The interview involves software problems and coding.
- The difficulty of the question depends heavily on the group.
