Rotating Equipment Engineer
The interview was a single session that lasted about an hour. Half of the time, around 30 minutes, was dedicated to technical questions about rotating equipment's working principles and risk management. The other 30 minutes focused on soft skills.
- Can you describe how you manage both the upper and lower levels of staff?
Production Technologist
It was a quick intro, and then we went straight into the interview questions. The vibe was serious, but they didn't seem super invested in hiring anyone, like they might have already decided and this was just checking a box.
- Describe the process for identifying well integrity and production enhancement opportunities.
Well Engineer
Started with online exams, then a bunch of interviews in person. The in-person part was done both individually and in a group setting. They really focused on how well you communicate, your confidence, and how you solve problems. Overall, it was one of the best interview experiences I've had in Oman.
- What actions would you take if a company was performing poorly?
- General IQ-style assessments
- Describe your graduation project.

After a month of sending my CV, I got a call for a job interview and assessment. The interview was at the recruitment office and the assessment was at the company's learning and development center.
