International Relocation Coordinator
This was the weirdest interview ever. The whole thing is super long and confusing. First, there's a big questionnaire, then a few phone calls. It was weird having multiple people email me instead of just one contact person. After maybe three phone interviews, they called me in for an onsite 'group interview.' I asked what that meant, and they said another candidate would be there, but it wasn't a competition (yeah right). On the day, it was super weird. We were both in the room, and the interviewer asked me a question, then turned to the other person and asked them the same thing. It felt like a game show trying to beat the other person. It was really uncomfortable. About 2 hours in, they asked the other candidate to explain why I should be hired. I couldn't believe it! So this other person had to say all these nice things about me, and then I had to answer the same crazy question. It was suffocating. The whole onsite thing took 3 hours. As we were leaving, they just thanked us and mentioned there'd be one final interview for whoever got picked. They just dropped that on us at the end! I was pretty sure I wouldn't take the job even if offered because the interview process showed a lot of red flags. I got a generic HR email back, which felt impersonal after everything. I feel like I dodged a bullet.
- What are your thoughts on why the other candidate is a better fit for this job?
- Why do you think you are the right person for this job?
Client Services Coordinator
This company really makes you jump through a lot of hoops, the process is quite extensive. It seems like they have a high turnover rate and honestly, they don't seem to care if you have experience in this field or not. Be ready for about a month of interviewing, from messages and assignments to a panel interview where you have to do a presentation. I feel like I wasted a month only to be told they had 'great candidates they were passing through each round.' If they make you do a presentation, you'd think it would be down to the final two.
- Respond to a written questionnaire with various questions.
- Complete a scenario within a given time limit.
- Deliver a presentation.
Client Care Specialist
I applied online and then got this long questionnaire thing to do. After I finished it, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, and then a week later, another phone interview with the CEO. The CEO asked pretty much the same stuff as the hiring manager, and it felt pretty chill. Then, a few weeks after that, there was a group interview. It was like 6 hours long and split into parts where different people from the staff would come in and ask us questions that were kinda weird and repetitive. These people didn't even seem like interviewers, and it felt like we were messing up their day. We also had to do interactive games and tasks. Nobody actually told us what the job was, what they expected, or the salary. Some of the other people interviewing were talking about a totally different job than the one I applied for. They let people go at different times. It was a real trip, kind of like a bizarre factory tour.
- Who would you be if you were a cartoon character?
Client Care Specialist
After submitting my application, I was sent a questionnaire. Then came a phone interview, followed by a group interview. I actually enjoyed the questionnaire and the group interview; they had a good mix of serious and fun questions. The whole process took about 3 hours, where I interacted with 4 or 5 employees. We did some practice exercises like email drills to see how I'd respond to different customer situations and role-playing for handling various phone calls.
- Can you describe your approach to managing stress at work?
- How do you cope with workplace stress?
- What kind of team-building party would you plan if budget wasn't an issue?
