Technical Recruiter
The interview was about an hour long. Gary has a distinct personality; you'll either vibe with him or you won't. He's straightforward and serious about finding top talent.
- Can you share your previous work experience?
- What makes you suitable for this position?
Senior Recruiter
I was driving home and got a call from the owner. He told me that he wants all commission Recruiters to be onsite, not remote. He also mentioned he had to fire commission Recruiters because they spent all day on their computers instead of recruiting. He expects us to answer his calls, and I'm not sure if that includes weekends. I got a sense of micromanagement. He also said that turnover is high. He called me again after I said it wasn't a good fit to discuss an assessment. There were too many red flags, and I don't think it's a good work culture for the long term. I wouldn't recommend it based on my interactions.

Consultant
The interview process had a phone interview and then an in-person interview on campus. Since the recruiter was interviewing many candidates, it was important to stand out. After that, they asked for a transcript and work history with references.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
