First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Perma-Seal Basement Systems.
Sales Associate
I went to a recruiting event and met some hiring folks. They gave me a tour and then a sales manager vetted me. I passed and met with the sales manager and recruiter again. Next, I met with the director of sales. He wanted another interview, so he gave me a book to read for 3 days. For the final interview, the director was late and didn't ask about the book. He seemed preoccupied and ended the call, saying he'd be in touch. Then, both the recruiter and director ghosted me. It's weird to assign a 300-page book and then not discuss it. Shame on sales and recruitment for ghosting me after moving me forward.
- Did you read the Grant Cardone book?
Appointment Setter
The interview process took about three days. I had an initial phone interview that went well, and then scheduled another interview with Kathy which also went great, and I pretty much was told I got the job. But then after a full week of no communication from them, I reached out and they told me the position was being reevaluated. I never heard back from them after that, but they did post a new job listing recently.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- What are your career goals?
Outside Sales Representative
First, I had a phone screen with Rosa, which was pretty chill. We just chatted a bit about my background and what I'm looking for in a job. Then, I had an in-person interview. It was a little more formal, but the two interviewers, Tony and Pete, were both really nice and professional. They kept things moving well and were super helpful when I asked questions about the role.
- Can you walk me through your previous work experiences?
Recruiter
I had a pre-screening chat with Rosa. She made it fun and I felt like my experience was good enough to move on. She was professional and kept asking questions. She seemed like a really good fit for the job and had a great attitude!
- Are you accustomed to sales goal metrics and meeting or exceeding goals?
