I met with the awesome music therapist team and got to watch some sessions. Then, during the onsite interview, the music therapist asked me about my clinical experience and background, and what drew me to this role. It was a really interactive process, and I even met some of the students.

I had my first interview, and they said I'd hear back in a week. It took them two weeks to respond, even though I tried to contact them. I then shadowed for about an hour. After that, I got an email from HR saying I didn't have enough experience, which they had already told me wouldn't be a problem in the first interview. They wasted almost three weeks of my time on something they could have seen on my resume in seconds. It's a disgrace and the worst interview I've ever had.

I had a 30-minute phone chat with HR first, who then set up the interview with the hiring manager. No calendar invite was sent out. The hiring manager really drilled down on my specialization in digital accessibility, asking me about 20 different ways if I knew enough about the niche area, given that I was applying for a role in it. She complimented my questions but I never heard back after that call. It was unprofessional and insulting, especially for a senior position. They should know how to conduct interviews professionally.

The interview process was really strange. It took place in a small office with a very awkward interviewer. She was monotone and took notes on everything I said, making me feel scrutinized. She asked questions about my past experiences and how I'd handle multiple supervisors. It turned out she wouldn't even be my supervisor, and her attempts at friendliness felt insincere. I wasn't contacted for a third interview, which was disappointing.
