I was interviewed for the role in Canada- Bolton. The Talent Acquisition lady called me up and set up a video call interview with her. After the interview, upon asking for feedback, she just sent a templated basic answer saying my application is not selected. Upon asking why and to provide a reason, she just went MIA, which shows me unprofessionalism.

First, a recruiter screening call. Second interview was with Peri HR, a typical interview. Third interview was with the Hiring Manager for the position. The interviews focused on aligning my experience with the position until the hiring manager interview, which, like many interviews, depended on personality match as well as capabilities to perform the role's responsibilities.

Behavioral Group

Group interview with department head, team lead, and HR. It was a very relaxed conversation, but it felt a bit hectic, maybe due to time constraints, and not many questions were asked to really understand the candidate's background. More typical interview questions than conversational ones. Still, it was a pleasant conversation, but from my side, there was a slight lack of overall sympathy to accept. The job description also changed during the conversation, affecting the areas of responsibility. The salary for the working student position hadn't been properly thought out beforehand; they suggested a typical intern salary (for applicants without an academic degree), and then I argued for increases based on semester and academic achievement. It didn't seem thought out.

It was a 2 stage process. The first stage was with HR, where they asked straightforward job-related questions, and about my availability. The second stage was with the Hiring Managers, who asked some technical questions. They also gave me a technical quiz based on engineering statics. There were at least 5 situational questions that they asked, which you can find examples of on Linkedin. I never heard back from them after the second stage, even though I thought I did well. Their communication was pretty poor; a rejection email would have been sufficient if I didn't make the cut.
