First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Perdue.
Manager
I had a phone call with HR, then another phone call with the manager. After that, I had a zoom call with the manager. Then I went to see the process in person and had an interview. After the interview, I waited for the job offer and negotiated salary.

Plant Operation Management Trainee
I had an initial interview on campus, and then was invited to a second interview. I didn't hear back for two months after following up. Then I got an email asking me to drive 7 hours to the plant, with a promise of travel reimbursement. I drove there two days later, missing a class test. There were nine other candidates interviewing for an unknown number of positions. We rotated through interviews with six employees (managers and HR) for 30 minutes each. The whole process took about 6 hours. I drove back the same day and sent a thank you email. I never heard back and didn't get reimbursed. I emailed HR twice between November and April and called another HR manager, but got no response. I usually don't leave bad reviews, but the communication was terrible. I got an offer from another company a month later, who were responsive and offered me the job within 4 days.
- Questions were pretty basic and typical, drawing from the top 50 interview questions, with a lot of repetition.
Digital Marketing Specialist
The interviews took about 4 weeks to complete. The first interview was a 1-hour Skype call, and the second one was a 2-hour in-person meeting at their Westminster office. While the interviewers were nice, I found it a bit strange that after I sent a thank you email following the interviews, I never got any response or acknowledgement. It was a bit off-putting because I invested a good amount of time in the process. They initially mentioned they needed someone for their Denver office, but it turned out they hired someone who was willing to relocate to Maryland. Since they never asked about my willingness to relocate during the interviews, the whole process felt a little misleading.
- What's your approach to identifying influencers for collaboration?
General Laborer
First you get a phone interview, then they give you a day for your in person interview where they ask about 10 questions about your work ethic and why you want to work for the company. They schedule you for a drug test a couple days out from your in person interview. After you pass the drug test, you get a call about your 3-day orientation. They tell you all about the company during the 3-day orientation. You start working immediately after your orientation.
