Behavioral Technical Presentation

Percolate... it kind of sucks you in with it's hipster fun work culture, swag, free lunches. It does have pretty great technology. But at the same time it's like a bad relationship. I'm always applying and get the same terrible experience. The first time a recruiter reached out to me for a Community Manager role, it was around Thanksgiving time. Had a great conversation, but then there was two months worth of back and forth inconsistency. The whole thing felt very unorganized and unprofessional, so I just let it fizzle out. Fast forward two years to the next role I applied to about two months ago...My next experience was with a different recruiter for a Marketing/Content based role, this whole process with the recruiter and another HR coordinator has been running much more smoothly with typical basic questions about your background. I felt like I had less content experience than what they were looking for, for this role so it kind of again fizzled out with no feedback or contact from them. Recently I applied for an event focused role. Having 5 years experience in this field, I felt this position was MUCH more aligned with my skillset and experience. After passing the phone interview. I met with someone in the department who clearly didn't bother to read my resume or ask any related event management questions. He also gave off this arrogant vibe like he was trying really hard to use big business jargon. Everything was ROI, money, leads, clients, sales, where the whole purpose of event marketing is being an authority in the space, putting a face to the brand and building relationship and brand awareness with new and old clients and community members. And after looking at their event strategy so far, they need a lot of help. The whole experience was very unprofessional. Great lesson to never apply to this place ever again, it's all smoke and mirrors.

I interviewed for a client solutions manager role at Percolate a year ago. The process was long but efficient, with four interviews and seven people. I didn't get the job, but I was okay with it since the interviewers seemed very smart and the role was likely competitive. A year later, after agency hopping, I applied again. Percolate, scaling up, wanted to hire more for this role and reached out. I had a phone interview, then silence from the recruiter. After a three-week follow-up, I got an automated rejection from Jobvite, even though I was initially contacted. While Percolate has smart people, the experience felt harsh. My advice: silence is bad. They used to follow up immediately to schedule interviews. The first time, it took over a month for a formal rejection.

Even though I did not get an offer, I am really impressed with Percolate and my recruiter. The experience was natural and more of a conversation than an interview. The team I met with were engaged through out all of the discussions. If this is the experience during the hiring process, I can only imagine what it would be like to work at Percolate. GREAT JOB!!
