First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pepsi Bottling Ventures.
Business Analyst
I had a full day of interviews with the team. I met with several team members throughout the day. We met in smaller groups, and each group focused on different areas of expertise. It was a casual chat about the field.
- Can you tell me about your technical skills?
- What is your background?
- How do you handle group dynamics?
Analyst
The interview process started with a phone call with the hiring manager, which was appreciated over a typical HR call. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview, which felt odd given the current pandemic situation with a new variant. The onsite visit didn't accomplish anything that couldn't have been done remotely via Zoom. No safety measures like temperature checks or masks were observed. The job is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, which seems like a holdover from pre-pandemic times. Despite all this, the company went silent after the interviews and relisted the job, which was the only modern aspect of their approach. The negative reviews online seem to be accurate.
- What animal would you choose to be and explain your reasoning?
Trainee
Overall the process from beginning to end wasn’t well structured. The management at the location didn’t do due diligence with training into the position. The biggest red flag was the management telling me “don’t take a lunch or a break because you’ll get behind but you’ll still be charged for it”. For the orientation process, I’d recommend going to the DMV or scheduling your CDL A test at the onset of offering the position to speed up the entry process.
- What makes you want to work here?
Merchandiser
I had a really great first contact with this company. I have a bit of a complicated past, but the person who interviewed me was understanding and let me explain everything, and then they offered me the job. The whole process was super open and honest, and I felt totally comfortable sharing whatever they needed to know.
- Can you share an experience from a previous job that might be relevant to this role?
