It was a 5-stage process. Started with a phone call, then a coding round. After that, there was an assignment round, followed by a discussion about the assignment and my past work experience. The final round focused on my work experience and included some behavioral questions.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process was pretty straightforward. It kicked off with some behavioural questions, then we dove deep into the tech stack. They asked a bunch of Node, React, JS, and backend-related questions. It was about a 45-minute interview where they really tested my knowledge of the tech stack and expected me to know the syntax for everything.

I applied for this role on LinkedIn and was selected for further stages. First, they sent me an email with a lengthy assignment, which I completed and submitted. My interview was scheduled but then got cancelled after 4-5 days. I contacted HR to find out why, and they said the interviewer was unwell and would reschedule. However, I unexpectedly received a rejection email today stating they decided not to proceed with my profile after our discussion. I felt ghosted and was very disappointed.

Behavioral Presentation Other

The first interview was with Jenifer, my direct report, and it was a really smooth and easy conversation. I got a sense of the strategy behind the team she was building and could tell I'd enjoy working with her. For the second interview, I specifically requested to speak with a teammate who would be very candid about the role, warts and all. That conversation was also effortless and very informative. The third interview involved me presenting two scenarios to the team so they could assess my thought process and task handling. Everyone on the team was great and stayed longer than expected, which gave me more time to ask my questions and for them to ask theirs. Honestly, in all my years of interviewing, this has been the best experience; it was thorough without being intimidating.
