Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PENNYMAC.
Product Analyst
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. It was a standard, 'tell me about a time' style interview. It wasn't overly technical, they were more interested in how you approach problems and whether you have at least basic competence or experience with technology throughout.
- Can you share an instance where you leveraged technology to resolve an issue?
Product Analyst
I had a phone screening where they talked about the company, the culture, and the job. Then they asked if I had any questions. It was 30 minutes. After that, there was an optional chance to meet the team and then a final interview over Zoom with the Product Analyst manager.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a team member and how you resolved it.
Product Analyst
Super straightforward interview. It was just one phone call and then a 30-minute Zoom chat. The people were really nice, and the interview wasn't super deep. Mostly behavioral questions. It wasn't as informative as some other, longer interview processes I've done.
- Tell me about a time you collaborated with a team.
