Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PENNYMAC.
Customer Service Representative
It started with an online phone interview, they were really flexible about scheduling. The interviewer was nice and easy to talk to. It lasted about 20 minutes. If you get through that, there's a second phone interview. Then, there's 5 weeks of in-person training.
- What makes you the right candidate for this position?
Customer Service Agent
Had one phone screening, then a video call, and finally an in-person interview. They rescheduled and changed times a bunch during the process. The panel interview was a bit disorganized, like they couldn't agree on things. Overall, the questions were pretty straightforward and they gave good feedback. But then they totally ghosted me after everything.
- What's the worst quality you possess?
Customer Service Representative
The process was easy. They asked you questions about your experience. And gave real life situations of how you would handle a situation if it was present to you. Interviewer did a great job at explaining the job description.
- Tell me about your customer service experience.
- How would you handle this situation?
