First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Penn Interactive.
Product Designer
I went through the interview process for a Product Design job at Penn Interactive. First, I talked to HR (Michael P). Then, I had a 1.5-hour interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had a final interview with the VP of Product Design. Everything seemed to go well in the interviews. Two weeks after the last one, the VP told me he was waiting for an update from the team. It's been over two months now and I still haven't heard anything. It's really unprofessional to not follow up, especially after I put in so much time for multiple interviews. The whole process felt really disorganized, and the pay they were offering was pretty low for the experience level they wanted. I wouldn't recommend interviewing with them.

Technical Product Manager
First, I had a 30 min video call with the Technical Recruiter. Then, a 30 min video call with the Hiring Manager. After that, there was a technical challenge I had to complete within a week and submit to the technical product team for their review. This challenge was more involved than typical ones but not overly difficult. The next step was a 60 min video call where I had to present my completed technical challenge to current and lead technical product managers. I was unfortunately dropped after this round. Finally, there was a video call with the Engineering Team.
- What would you do if hypothetical situations came up as a technical product manager?
- How would you pinpoint the origin of a technical issue?
- How would you make a choice between various technical solutions suggested by the engineering team?
Devops Engineer
It started with a recruiter screening, then a panel technical interview with about 4-5 people. After that, there was a 3-part take-home technical interview that I had a week to complete but finished in one night. The final round was with the VP.
- Can you tell me about your experience with K8s?
- What's your background with Cloud Infra?
- What do you know about CI/CD Pipelines?
Technical Recruiter
It started with a recruiter phone screen, then a video interview with TA Managers. After that, a video interview with HR, and finally, a video interview with leadership. There were multiple rounds with key stakeholders on the broader HR and TA teams. This all happened a few years back.
- Can you walk me through your work history?
- What types of roles have you supported in your career?
- What were the key metrics or successes you achieved in your previous roles?
