The interview process was pretty fast and organized. I applied online and a recruiter reached out, saying my resume was going to the hiring team. Two days later, I was invited for an in-person interview with three 30-minute parts. The first interviewer was cool and friendly, asking about my background and throwing in some analytical questions, like a quick estimation and a simple speed calculation. They also let me ask questions, which was nice. The third interviewer was also good, giving me a structured business case to look at regarding profit and breakeven. It felt like a relevant discussion and was done professionally. The second interview, though, was kinda weird and didn't fit the rest. The interviewer didn't introduce themselves or explain what we were doing, and seemed to rush through it. They asked me to handwrite a SQL query, which felt a bit off for this role and how the other interviews went. No time for questions at the end either. So, it was efficient overall, but the interviewers were really different. It would be better if the interview structure, what they expect, and how they talk to candidates were more consistent.

QA
It was pretty straightforward, with four interview rounds. First up, I had a chat with the recruiter to go over my background and experience. Then, I was given a technical take-home test to show off my skills. After that, I did a live technical interview where I had to explain my approach and answer some follow-up questions. Lastly, I talked to the hiring manager and someone from another team to see if I'd be a good fit culturally and how I work with others.
- Can you describe your framework?
IT Management and Controls Manager
So, the interview process started okay with a recruiter call and then a chat with the hiring manager. But the in-person interview was where things went off the rails. A bunch of interviewers kept asking me about my commute to their office daily and flat-out telling me they didn't think I could manage it, even though the job was advertised as hybrid. Then they got super personal, asking things like 'What's your home like?' and 'How old are your kids?'. The absolute worst part was when one interviewer said, 'You look like a person with tricks.' I have no clue what that was supposed to mean or how it relates to my job skills. It was just unbelievably unprofessional.

I had a great experience with the recruiter, who was very professional and efficient. She first screened my resume and then I moved to a technical live coding interview the next day. It was challenging. The recruiter let me know I passed and scheduled me for a case study with the hiring manager, but I didn't get through that round. I heard there were two more rounds after that if I had passed. The whole process was smooth and professional, albeit tough. The recruiter was responsive and quick. I'd suggest applying here to practice your interview skills.
