Product Manager
Had a great first chat with a recruiter at Peloton, who was super knowledgeable and asked good questions about my background and what I'm looking for. Things didn't work out though during the in-person interviews. The product design questions felt off, like generic interview questions from blogs, not really related to the job. The hiring manager also struggled to answer basic questions about the role, like team size or the balance between planning and execution. The job had been open for a while, so I suspect they weren't actively looking to fill it, which made me feel like I wouldn't be a valued part of the team.

Product Manager
I had a phone screen with the recruiter, then an interview with the hiring manager, and after that a take-home project. The questions were pretty standard and typical. The take-home project took quite a bit of time to finish, and the hardest part was the presentation and the Q&A afterwards. Some of the people I met were nice, but others were kind of cold and condescending. It was a tough interview overall. The whole process took about two weeks.
- Tell me about a product you like.
- What's a product you really enjoy using and why?
- Can you share your favorite product and explain your reasoning?
Product Manager
I had a few one-on-one interviews and also a presentation, which was a cool way to show off what I can do and get to know the team. The presentation was super open-ended and took me about four hours to put together (plus a bit more time for digging up info and making it look good). The one-on-one chats were pretty relaxed, but still really direct and open. The recruitment folks were there the whole time and were a huge help!
- Can you share some of your past experiences and how you've handled difficulties?
- Describe your approach to working with various team members.
- Tell me about a situation from your past and how you navigated it.
