First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Pegasystems.
Software Development Engineer in Test
The interview process started with a welcoming atmosphere. First, there was a written test to screen candidates. Following that, there were two one-on-one interviews, and then a final round with a manager. The first round's questions focused on Java and patterns. The second round covered mobile testing and performance testing scenarios.
- What are your thoughts on Java patterns and their application?
- Can you provide an overview of a CRM product?
- What are the key differences between BPM and CRM systems?
Software Development Engineer in Test
So the first thing was a phone call with HR, it was in English and they asked me about my past experiences and then threw in like 5-6 technical questions. The recruiter just jotted down whatever I said, no feedback loop there. After that, I had an on-site interview which lasted for about 2-3 hours. It involved a written test where I had to solve some problems on paper, then a discussion about test questions with a technical person and the manager, and finally, an algorithm problem that I had to solve on a whiteboard.
- What's the difference between POST and GET requests?
- Can you tell me where Javascript is executed?
- What is the difference between overloading and overriding a method?
Senior Software Development Engineer in Test
I went through 4 rounds. First, two were technical interviews, asking about my experience and coding. Then, I had a Senior Manager round to discuss the team, product, and expectations. Lastly, an HR round. I declined the offer because HR didn't provide the expected salary.
- Can you write a Java program for Binary Search?
- Can you write SQL Queries?
- Can you automate Web Services?
