I interviewed for PegaSystem through campus placement. First, there was an online assessment with easy DSA, aptitude, and professional writing. Then, the main interview process included two technical rounds, one hiring manager round, and one HR round. Be aware that even passing the HR round doesn't guarantee selection. Overall, it was a good experience. They really focus on your resume, so make sure everything you've listed is accurate. They also assess your communication skills, so be confident and smile.

The process went well. I had an initial chat with a recruiter, then another with a team member, and a third one with the hiring manager. I didn't get the job, but the rejection was explained (another candidate was a better fit for the role). On the other hand, I really didn't like being signed up for Pegasystems' commercial newsletter ("public") after the hiring process.

I applied through campus/university and there were 98 eligible candidates from CSE, ISE and ECE branches (8+ CGPA). It was one of the best interview experiences I've had. There were a total of six rounds: one aptitude test and five virtual interview rounds. The aptitude test was on Hacker Earth with 40 questions in 40 minutes, including Java, C, numerical/logical aptitude, and two comprehensions. Out of 98 candidates, 43 cleared the aptitude and moved to virtual interviews on Cisco WebEx. Round 2 (Technical 1) covered OOP, Multithreading, Collections Interface, and Inheritance in Java, plus Normalisation from DBMS and puzzles. I asked the interviewer questions at the end. Round 3 (Technical 2) focused on JVM, Garbage collection, and Hashmaps in Java, with more puzzles and situational questions about teamwork. I asked questions again. Round 3 (Managerial) involved situational questions about teamwork, failure, communication skills, and team functioning. I asked the interviewer about Pega's work culture. Round 4 (Director) was with the Director of Consulting, India. We discussed my projects for 20 minutes (technologies, alternatives, use case) and my Java, Python, and C proficiency. It was insightful, and I learned about the company's internal workings from my questions. There was an anxious wait for the HR round, as only 13 people were left, and later 9 were selected for the final round. Round 5 (HR) included questions about me, my family, school/college/internship experiences, strengths, and weaknesses. I asked the HR about how Pega was handling Covid-19 and its personal impact. After a day's wait, 8 of us received selection confirmation. The whole process was amazing with a friendly and insightful panel. Best campus interview experience so far.
