Banquet Server
You meet with someone for an interview. They do a drug test, but be aware it can take up to 4 months to go through the whole process and get to orientation. You have to provide all your family's information, including brothers and sisters.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in this position?
- What would you say are your strongest qualities?
Marketing Ambassador
The interview process involved a panel interview where they asked straightforward questions about your work experience, personality, and understanding of the role and expectations. They also asked why you're interested in Pechanga and about your availability, noting the expected work hours are from 10 am to 1 am with a weekly changing schedule. The second interview is a meeting with the trainer.
- Can you describe a time you had to deal with a customer who was upset or had issues in your previous job?
Market Ambassador
I had a pre-interview with the assistant to the hiring manager. They asked some generic questions and wrote down everything I said. I waited about two weeks after the interview to get a reject phone call. These people didn't even have the decency to email or mail the news. The HR practices at this company are a joke and the hiring manager for the Marketing department is an imbecile. How can you not see a highly qualified candidate? How can you turn down someone great like me twice? You'll never find the right person if you stay blind! F U Pechanga.
- What is your understanding of this role's responsibilities?
Guest Room Attendant
The interview itself was super quick, like 10 minutes max, and the interviewer was really nice. The career center folks who met me in the waiting room were also very welcoming. The actual hiring process took quite a while though. They called me for the interview like 3 months after I applied. Then I had to come back a week later to sign papers and do a medical check. A week after that, I had to come back for a mandatory licensing class(?). Then another week later, I had to come back for a licensing interview and background check. The licensing agent said they'd call me in 3 weeks, which they did, and I had to go back to take a picture for my ID and get my work schedule.
- What action would you take if you observed a coworker not performing their duties correctly or breaking company rules?
