Coding Technical

It was all up to one person. They alone decide if a candidate is selected or rejected after several interview rounds. The first round involved solving coding questions for 60 minutes, which I completed successfully with positive feedback. The second round, lasting 90 minutes with three interviewers, included coding and other questions, and also went very well, with all interviewers giving positive feedback. The next round, held on a Saturday for 90 minutes, also went well. However, I heard from HR a week later that the feedback wasn't positive, despite my 100% confidence in clearing that round. I'm confused about how one person can reject a candidate based on personal preference, and I need a proper reason because I'm not convinced by this decision.

They unnecessarily stretch the rounds. It includes HR Screening, EM Screening, Tech 1, Tech 2, and Group panels. I cleared till Tech 1. In Tech 2, it was also going good, but my panel had some preset mindset and started rejecting me, giving feedback that I am taking some external help, even when my whole screen was shared with them.

  • They asked me to code some random things in Angular.
  • In the backend code, they asked very simple questions.

I had a phone interview first, then 5 on-site interviews, each about half an hour. They asked questions that were fair but tough. HR was quick to respond. I even got to chat with the VP and CEO, who were really nice throughout the process.
