First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Peachford Hospital.
MHT
It was a quick and easy interview. The interviewer was nice and they told me about the operations and what population I would be working with. It seems like a well-run operation and I hope to work there.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
Registered Nurse
The interview process involved two interviews back-to-back: one with a nurse administrator and then one with HR. The first interview felt really relaxed and friendly, like a good chat, but still managed to give me a lot of info. The HR interview was more typical, with common questions about why I'm interested in the job, how I handle conflict, mistakes, and so on. They asked me directly for my salary expectations. There wasn't much room to negotiate the pay, which is based on experience and seems a bit lower than the industry average when you compare it to acute care nursing.
- Can you tell me about a time you made a mistake or had a conflict at work and how you dealt with it?
- What motivated you to pursue a career in psychiatric healthcare?
MHA
First you talk to HR, then you take a test online. If they like you, you get an offer and are invited back for a week-long group orientation.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Mental Health Assistant
I had a phone chat with the HR director, and then I was invited to come in for an interview. Once I got there, I did an online assessment that took about 15 minutes. Then a staff member interviewed me. It was a simple interview. I got offered a position that same day.
- Can you introduce yourself?
