TechOps Engineer
Had an HR screening, then talked with the Hiring Manager, then met with a team member I would've worked with, and finally spoke with the VP of IT. Heard back two weeks later that I didn't get the job.
- Could you roleplay through a problem with me?
- If a security issue and failing data backups both needed fixing with a 50k budget, what would you prioritize?
Electron Optics Engineer
This was a really bad interview. The hiring manager didn't even check my resume and told me right at the start of our Teams call that they were looking for someone more experienced. Like, couldn't you spend a couple minutes reading my resume first? It clearly shows my experience. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get it. If they can't even bother to read a resume, it's probably not a good place to work.
- Do you have prior experience designing e-beam optics?
- What's your reason for leaving your current position?
Data Scientist
Had a total of six interviews. It included a model-building test where I had to solve an industry problem. Then there were three tech interviews focused on machine learning methods, and also questions and tests about python and computer science. Finally, two behavior interviews.

Senior Product Engineer
It was pretty straightforward for me, given my prior experience. If you don't have a contact inside, there's a standard phone screen. But since I was referred, I went straight into one-on-one interviews. The interviewers were knowledgeable, making it a positive experience. Glad I didn't have to deal with any typical HR interviews. Honestly, the HR department there is quite unhinged, so try to bypass them if possible.
- Can you discuss semiconductor processes?
- Do you have experience with DOE Statistics?
- What is your understanding of OPAMPS?
