First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PCS Software.
Implementation Specialist
After applying for 2.5 weeks, I got an email to interview with the VP of Customer Success via Teams, without the camera on. It was weird, I thought it would be a phone call. I wish I'd known, I dressed up for nothing. The interviewer seemed respectful and I talked about my implementation background with a TMS in a 3PL. I thought she liked my experience and saw it matched the role. She asked about my availability for the next two days, and I said I was open. She said I'd definitely hear back and meet another manager. About 1.5 weeks later, I still haven't heard anything. The fact that she lied makes this a negative experience. She even asked if I was interested in customer success, and I said yes. It's a strange way to do business, so I guess I know how they operate now.
- Can you explain your previous role in Implementation?
Customer Support Representative
The whole thing is 4 steps: First, a phone interview, which is pretty standard. Then, you go to their HQ for an in-person interview with the direct manager and CCO. After that, there are 2 tests: one for personality and one for aptitude. If you make it through all that, you've basically got the job and will meet with the CEO.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle a challenging customer and describe how you resolved their issue?
Sales
I'd say the interview process was super thorough. After some initial questions, it really felt like a good chat. PCS is growing, so I think they took the time to explain that things would change and that you needed the right attitude for a role at a company like that!
- In what ways have you positively impacted your work culture previously?
Sales and Marketing
Got the job offer through LinkedIn and was excited about the role. I then had a 30-minute phone screen before coming in for an in-person interview. I met the entire team and got a real feel for the company culture and how the team worked together, which sealed the deal for me.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses, and how you collaborate within a team setting?
