Production Designer
The interview process was actually very comfortable, it was with their creative director and senior designer over video or the phone. They were very clear on the scope of job duties, what the team was like, asking questions about my experience as a designer, who would be working with daily, and the overall mission of the company.

I interviewed at a job fair, it was at the Columbia City location. Everyone was really great, even though they were in mass interview production mode. I wasn't able to pursue a potential job there because my schedule and their needs didn't match. But, I was impressed by the people I met with and would go back if my schedule could accommodate the job requirements.

The process was pretty long and tough. I had to call management a bunch of times just to get them to look at my application, and then it took about a week to hear back. After the interview, I waited a couple more weeks and then finally got a rejection letter after I called to see what was up with my interview. After stopping by the store a few more times and talking to some of the employees, I get the vibe that management is trying to hire a very specific kind of person.

- Can you share an instance where you went above and beyond for a customer?

I sent in my application online, filling out some questions and uploading my resume. The next day, a recruiter rang me up to see if I wanted to set up a meeting. We agreed to meet at the store's eating area. I ended up chatting with the store director. It felt pretty laid-back and casual. They asked questions about customer service, some personal stuff, and my availability. Towards the end, she told me about PCC and if I had any questions. I inquired about the timeline for hearing back, and she said about a week. After a week, I got a call and they offered me the job!
- Why did you decide to apply to PCC?
