Behavioral Technical

The process had some issues with communication between management and the recruiter, and the explanation of next steps wasn't clear. The approach to talents felt off. It didn't seem like fair opportunities were given, and it felt like the same people were always interviewing for the role, even though there are many managers in the same department.

First, a general phone chat with HR. Then, a call with the team lead where we talked resume stuff, some competency qs, and role-related qs in a second language, plus a bit of industry and company knowledge. After that, a super-easy oral language test by phone. The next step was a face-to-face interview with two people, focusing entirely on competency questions. Make sure to have about 4,000 examples ready covering customer service, perseverance, problem solving, decision making, teamwork, negotiation, relationship building, etc. Finally, a written test involved a simple sales-y email in English about Paypal benefits in a second language, and a few paragraphs about yourself and your motivation in that same second language.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

It was supposed to be a three-stage interview: recruiter call, hiring manager interview, and then a presentation with a case study. The recruiter call was fine. The hiring manager interview, though, was the absolute worst and most uncomfortable interview I've ever had. The hiring manager was totally unprepared, seemed like he was falling asleep, and was drinking an energy drink. The interview was meant to be behavioral, but because he was unprepared, he just fired off questions and tried to argue with everything I said. His eyes kept closing while I was talking, so he kept asking the same questions over and over. It was a really awful experience, especially after spending hours preparing, and he clearly didn't care. I had the interview in January and didn't hear back about not moving forward until March. The whole thing felt unprofessional and honestly, quite discouraging.
