Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Paynada.
Account Executive
The interview went straight into asking about personal stressors and under-appreciated work, which felt like negative questions not allowing me to elaborate on my contributions. My previous roles and sales experience weren't discussed. However, I did get some insight into the company's startup nature and team setup.
- What are you stressed by, and what do you feel is an under-recognized aspect of your work?
Account Executive
The recruiter called and was nice, but I couldn't talk much and politely explained so since I was working. Another one called me a few hours later even though I had said I was working late, and then I got a generic rejection letter the next morning. Completely unprofessional. Unsettling to say the least. Something's off.
- What are your salary expectations?
Account Executive
The interview process involved me talking to the interviewer about my past roles. They wanted to know about my sales background and how I've contributed to companies before. They also asked about my experience in B2B commerce and my comfort level with a sales approach that doesn't rely on incoming leads.
- Can you discuss your prior work history, focusing on your sales background and achievements within your past companies?
- What's your background in B2B commerce?
- How would you handle selling if there were no leads supplied?
