Technical Product Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter about an Operations Manager role, which I applied for. Later, HR reached out for an interview. During the 15-minute interview, the interviewer suggested I switch my application to a Jr. Tech Product Manager position. After that, I got an email with a take-home task, due within 5 days, which I wasn't expecting. I completed and submitted it on time, but haven't heard back. It feels like they might be using applicants for free work. The interview process was a bit strange, and the worst part was the lack of response; my emails were completely ignored throughout each stage, and the process moved forward as if I hadn't sent them.
- What are the general metrics you employ to assess if a project or sprint is on track?
- How would you approach managing a team member who is not being productive?
- Could you create UML design diagrams for each of the four tasks provided, corresponding to the potential areas you might join at Payever?
Product Manager
The interview process started with a take-home task instead of a first round interview. This task involved four major questions that needed to be completed within a 72-hour timeframe. It was quite challenging as it required research into their products, specifically focusing on a coupon app's design and functionalities. The task also included creating a UML diagram, answering some questions, and writing out all functionalities as user stories. It took up my entire weekend, and unfortunately, I never received any feedback or even an apology. It feels like they might be collecting work illegally, which is a major red flag.

Product Manager
The interview process was very interesting and the interviewer was good! They asked me if I knew the company. I had looked at the company website beforehand and liked it a lot. I explained my goals and how I want to make payever a better place to work!
