The interview process at Payever is pretty fast and has several steps. You'll probably start with a quick call from HR or a recruiter to go over your background, experience, and what you expect from the job. Then, there's usually a skills test or technical assessment, which is standard. If it's a technical role, you'll get coding problems or a case study. For other roles, it might be more marketing or business-related tasks. After that, if you make the cut, you'll have interviews with team leads or managers. These focus on your tech skills, how you solve problems, your past work, and if you're a good fit for the company culture. Some people also mentioned doing a trial work period or a 'remote working day' to see how you actually do the work. People say it's fast but can be a lot, with detailed tasks and sometimes mixed communication. A lot of reviews point out that they really care about practical skills, so be ready to show you can do the work before they offer you the job.

Two HR people reached out, then we connected on Telegram. They wanted me to do 2 full days of work to get hired. During those 2 days, they watched everything I did, like my app activity, websites I visited, and took screenshots of my screen every few minutes. This is normal for all employees. They also have an inactivity timer, so I couldn't even go to the toilet or get coffee without stopping the timer. Even though they are a startup, the hiring felt more corporate than anything I've experienced. I didn't finish the tasks because the approach they showed during the interview wasn't worth the money for me.

First interview is with Hunter, so it's nothing special, just common questions. Then there's a technical interview that has two parts: theory and practice. In my case, the theory part had questions about JS and Angular. For the practice part, you'll need to solve a task in real time on a shared workspace. The task depends on the position. If the second step goes well, they might give you an offer.

  • Tell me about JS inheritance.
  • How do you inherit components in Angular?
  • How does IOC function within Angular?
