I didn't apply for this job directly; the hiring manager found me online. She reached out about 3 days after getting my resume to discuss the role. Then, she conducted what felt like a phone interview where she asked about my background and some behavioral questions. After that, she invited me to the office for an interview a week later. The in-person interview lasted about two hours and involved me speaking with the manager and four team members. It was mostly a conversation with some behavioral questions mixed in. The interviewers did most of the talking. About four days later, the manager called me again to schedule a meeting with two more team members, which lasted about 1.5 hours. At the end of that meeting, they told me they liked me and wanted to offer me the job, but first needed to check my references. They contacted my references, and just 3 hours after the second meeting, I got the offer. A background check and drug screen were required after accepting.

The interview process involved a screening interview, an online exam, a digital interview, a phone interview, and finally an in-person interview. There was a gap of one to three weeks between each stage. I experienced a lot of back and forth, with conflicting information about the position's status and urgency. The office environment was unpleasant, and the interviewer appeared disheveled and asked predictable questions in what felt like a forced stress interview. I realized early on that I didn't want the job. The lengthy process was actually beneficial as it gave me time to secure a better offer from a competitor.
