Software Engineer
The interview process was terrible. The interviewers were unprofessional and unethical. They didn't show up on time. One person rescheduled or cancelled the interview 5 times, sometimes right before the meeting. I suggest not interviewing at this company to save time and effort. The process included: 1. Technical Test 2. Interview with CTO (they were fired and never attended) 3. COO 4. Head of Product (extremely unprofessional).

Copywriter
The interview process moved pretty fast at first. HR reached out the day after I applied online and set up a phone screen for the next week. It was about 30 minutes, and they asked about my history and work experience. They got back to me really quickly, asking for an assignment two days later. The assignment had two parts: first, I had to suggest changes for the UX copy on an older version of their site. Second, I needed to brainstorm three blog post ideas about bitcoin and then write one of them. About three days after that, I went in for an in-person interview downtown with the Senior Copywriter and HR. This one was longer, over an hour. They talked more about what the company does and asked questions to see if my personality, behavior, and grasp of their goals fit the job. A few days later, I had a Skype interview with the head of marketing in Estonia. I thought that went well too, but then I didn't hear anything for three weeks. I checked in for an update and was told they hadn't decided yet. Finally, HR called with a polite rejection, saying they would have liked to hire me but went with someone who had SEO experience since they'd need less training. That call was followed by a written rejection. It was a good experience overall, I just wish they had made their decision faster instead of dragging it out at the end.

Executive Assistant
Applied online and got an email the next week for a phone screen with the HR assistant. The chat was good and we talked for a while, even going over our scheduled time, so we set up another call the same day. Both talks were enjoyable, but I felt they could have been managed better time-wise because they both ran long, and I had to cut the last one short myself for another commitment. The HR assistant emailed the following week to schedule an in-person interview to meet the team I'd be supporting. But, I was totally surprised during the interview when the job description and responsibilities didn't match what the executives were looking for at all. It was really disappointing because a lot of what was listed in the job posting fit my background as an Executive Assistant, but the questions asked made it seem like the role was actually more of a Product Manager position focused on the product's user experience. It's not okay to bring a candidate in and expect them to have experience in areas not mentioned on their resume AND not listed in the job posting you created. Why waste a candidate's time and your own by not being clear on your hiring needs?? Another shock, I was asked about my race during the in-person interview, which is usually illegal. I was also asked my current boss's age at another point.
- Tell me about a time you led or managed a project.
- Can you share an instance where you took charge of or oversaw a project?
Dispute Analyst
So the interview process had three parts: first was initial where they set expectations about the offer, the training, and the company's history. Then the job fit interview, where we talked about my experience and how it related to the job description, referencing my resume. Lastly, the culture fit interview, where my future peers interviewed me. They asked questions about the actual job and also my other interests. All in all, Paxful's interview process was pretty straightforward, engaging, and thorough.
- Given your preference for working remotely, would you be open to in-office training?
