It was a pretty straightforward process. I had one initial call with a recruiter, then another zoom call with them. The final stage was an interview with my potential manager and another person from management. I got the offer about a week later, and my start date was roughly four weeks after that.

I went to a job fair and was really interested in the position, so I filled out the application and got called for an interview. The interview was done via webcam, and I felt like I did a great job. They said they’re looking for people who want a career, and I am looking for a career. Perfect, right? Nope. I never heard from anyone and had to call repeatedly for three weeks, only to be told that HR was being restricted and that the people who were hired already knew. I was very disappointed and decided to get my insurance licenses on my own. Fast forward a month, and I got a second interview, now that I had my licenses. One of the interviewing managers clearly didn’t want to be there; she wouldn’t make eye contact and answered my questions rudely and abruptly, which I didn’t appreciate. Guess what?? They never called me back, and I never heard from HR this time either. I’m not sure what’s going on with this company, but they seem to only be interested in military spouses. Every single person they hired was a military spouse. I’m not sure why they’re wasting other people’s time, quite frankly. I appreciate honesty and clear feedback, and I don’t get it. If there’s no through line, then it’s just another corporate machine, and the employees are just numbers.

The interview process was quite long, so be patient. I had two interviews in total: one with HR and another with my current team lead. They asked general interview questions. After my interview, they realized I'd be a better fit for a Broker role and took the time to use the information I gave them to figure out the best placement for me (which was pretty awesome).
