I had an interview with two people. They asked about my cashier experience and what a normal shift at Lowe's is like. I also asked them what they're looking for in this role. It was great to hear about the free schooling if I get the job. Also, they said that even though it's part-time, I'd get at least 25 hours a week.

The hiring process for this role takes a while, even though it's only 3 parts after you apply. It might take over a week between each step. If your application gets picked, you'll need to take a pre-employment assessment test. It's not too difficult, but you must take it at the West campus on a specific date. If you pass the assessment, they'll call you for the first in-person interview. Finally, there's a second in-person interview, which might involve meeting the campus provost.

It was a simple, well-organized, and easy-to-follow process. They gave me info about the tasks, daily operations, and a tour of the office. The interview itself was short. It was required for college credit, and I successfully passed and learned a lot during my internship.
