First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Partners in Health.
Senior Project Manager
It was a super tedious interview process with 3 rounds of interviews, plus an assessment round, making it 4 rounds in total. The whole thing dragged on for about 2 months. Lots of back and forth with the hiring manager. I'd say it was a negative experience because getting a response about moving to the next round took like 1-2 weeks. Plus, after being told I'd hear about their decision, I just got a generic rejection email. Total time waste.
- Can you tell me about your experience working with different groups and stakeholders in the community?
Manager
It was a pretty straightforward process with four rounds. First, an initial screening, then a group interview with the team, followed by a technical exercise since it's a technical role. Finally, there was a final interview with the supervisor for the position. They were interested in my working style and how I handle work and issues, as well as my background.
- How do you handle working with people from different cultures?
Officer
The interview process was really long and felt like a waste of time and effort, taking over four months from when I applied until I assumed they weren't going to hire me because I never heard back. It started with an HR screening interview, then two weeks later I interviewed with the hiring manager. After another three weeks, HR asked for writing samples, and a week after that, I had to do a writing test. Then, another week later, I was invited for a panel interview. After all that, there was just silence, even when I sent polite follow-up emails, which is a bit of a red flag. It's frustrating to go through so many hoops and then be ignored when you just want a simple yes or no.
- Standard questions. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Supply Chain
The entire process spanned several months. It began with a 90-minute online assessment. After numerous back-and-forth emails with incredibly slow response times, which really highlighted the inefficient and lazy work ethic of the supply chain and hiring staff, I never heard back. It's a shame that the sluggishness of a few individuals casts such a negative light on what I assume is a good organization with good intentions and the rest of their team.
- Can you share an instance where you performed exceptionally well in a previous work scenario?
