First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PartnerComm, Inc..
Communications Consultant
So I had 3 rounds of interviews and then a final chat with the CEO. The first few people I talked to described the job one way, but then the CEO explained it totally differently. I saw there was a mismatch in what they were looking for and what I thought the job was, so I decided to pull out. I figured it was better for everyone if I didn't proceed, since being on the same page is super important for doing well.

- Describe how you manage multiple client deliverables simultaneously, particularly when dealing with scope creep.
Writing Consultant
The interview process was more extensive than I've experienced before, which I liked. I interviewed at the Dallas office and was there for about 3.5 hours. I interviewed with John, one of the principals, and that took up the longest part of my afternoon. He gave me great insight into PartnerComm and how the company is run, and he also shared examples of work with me (I could tell he was proud of the work produced - which made me confident in the company). He answered all my questions well and asked me quite a few questions that made me think he had reviewed my resume beforehand, not just skimmed it. Then I had a conversation with a writing consultant who shared details about PartnerComm's culture and gave me the ins-and-outs that you don't often get during interviews. She was very friendly and welcoming and genuinely wanted to provide honest answers to my questions. About a week later, John asked me for writing samples and followed up by asking me to write a short narrative about a subject that pertains to PartnerComm. Not long after that, maybe a few days, John emailed me to let me know I had an offer with the company.

Graphic Designer
I first connected with recruiters from PartnerComm at a school career fair. They were super friendly and knew a lot about their company. They looked at my portfolio and then told me about PartnerComm, giving me their HR contact info. After the fair, I emailed HR and got a reply the next day about the job and if I wanted to interview. I said yes, and we set up a phone interview. On the day of the call, I was really nervous, but the interviewers made me feel comfortable quickly with their relaxed vibe. They seemed genuinely interested in my skills and who I am. It was a good experience overall.

- Are you open to relocating to Dallas, Texas?
UI/User Experience Designer
My interview at PartnerComm had 2 steps. A staffing agency named Creative Circle contacted me about a contract UI/UX Designer position. They set up an interview with a CEO and Sr. Designer at their Arlington office. I discussed my background and walked them through my portfolio. They asked about my favorite project and design process. The CEO gave me a tour and introduced me to employees. I felt good about it, but they suggested a second interview that same day in their Dallas office with another CEO and the Art Director. I went to Dallas, where I again presented my portfolio, discussed my process and software, and answered logical questions about project handling. They asked about my strengths and weaknesses. They then showed me a website and asked for my redesign suggestions and reasoning. The Art Director and CEO discussed their work and processes, and they showed me a mobile app. A week later, Creative Circle called with an offer for a full-time role, which I accepted.
