First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Partner Engineering and Science.
Entry Level Scientist
The interview was pretty chill and gave me a good vibe about the role. But man, the recruiter was terrible with updates. If you didn't make the cut, they'd just ghost you. I only heard back like months later, after going through two interviews and thinking things were looking up for me.
- In what ways has your background equipped you for a position like this?
Construction Project Coordinator
The interview process was pretty lengthy. It involved 4 people who each asked questions. Honestly, believe the interview reviews because this company will ghost you. Before a verbal offer, the recruiter said the salary was negotiable. After I got the offer and they told me the pay, I asked for a counteroffer. The manager said he'd get back to me but never did. The recruiter was in touch, giving updates, but when I recently reached out, I heard nothing back. It's wild how recruiters and hiring managers act like they weren't once in my shoes, hopeful for a job, only to be disappointed. Companies expect you to jump through hoops just to treat you badly. It's unacceptable. No wonder people are ditching the 9-5; nobody has time to waste or be lied to, especially now with inflation and recession.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Data Scientist
I had a call with the company and then a test. I sent the test back in less than 24 hours and got everything right. I didn't hear back until I sent another email to the recruiter. If I hadn't sent that email, I would have never heard back. The recruiter didn't speak any English and told me they had already hired someone, so the test was for nothing. They also didn't tell me they had hired someone. I'm very disappointed with Partner.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Tell me about your programming skills.
- What experiences and studies do you have?
Staff Engineer
So I got referred by a friend, then sent my resume and cover letter through the taleo website for the role I wanted. It took like 2 weeks to hear back. First, I had a phone screen with HR at the main office. Then, about 1-2 weeks after that, I went in person for an interview with the team at the location I was applying to. Another two weeks later, I had another interview with a senior person at corporate. It was pretty chill.
