Instead of a typical interview, the interviewer suggested a tour of the workplace. He showed me around, discussed the company, and mentioned I wouldn't need to ask questions. He didn't ask me anything about myself, so I'm unsure what he was assessing. The rejection notice came much later than expected.

It was a super easy interview. They asked a couple basic questions about my experience and education. I was offered the job at the end of the interview, it was pending a background check though. The interviewers were very nice and welcoming.

I spoke with the manager by phone for about 40 minutes, and it was a good conversation. He liked my background from Northrop Grumman and thought I'd be a good fit. Then I went for an in-person interview that lasted 4 hours. I toured the facility and met with the senior engineer I'd be working closely with, which also went well. I felt technically prepared. After that, I met with a higher-level manager who asked about my work history and education, and my experience with similar companies. He then asked some pretty invasive questions about my long-term commitment to the company, bringing up potential marriage and kids. I was really taken aback, especially given his own circumstances. Thankfully, the first manager stepped in. I then met with one more person. By the end, I wasn't interested in the job anymore if I had to deal with someone like that.
