I got an invite for a video chat to go over the job. I was ready early for it. But the person interviewing me didn't show up. I then emailed them to see if we could reschedule and never heard back. The next day, I saw the job wasn't open anymore.

Submitted my resume online. Got an email for a phone screen, and I replied with my availability the same day. Had to chase the recruiter twice via email for a scheduled phone screen. The first phone screen was with the local recruiter. We discussed the job description, how my background fit, and company culture. After a 75-minute talk, they asked for my availability for the next phone screen with the Regional Office Manager. I emailed my availability the same day. No response. Emailed again 2 days later, still no response. My final email bounced back - maybe the recruiter left or blocked me. Would have been nice to get an email saying they weren't moving forward. Weird end to a long process.

Case Technical Coding Presentation

So the recruiter told me about the interview process. You'll do one case study that lasts about two hours to show your analytical and presentation skills. You get 30 minutes to read the case and then ask questions. After that, you present your solution to a panel for an hour. You need to be ready to defend your solution. There are other cases too, designed to check if you can perform at the right level, which even Principals have to pass. These cases cover troubleshooting, project planning, and communication skills. They mention that their own employees have to pass these cases to get promoted. I prefer this to behavioral questions because it's harder to make up answers and it shows how you actually solve problems. You should read the job description and ask the recruiter or interviewers about expectations for the level you're applying for. There will also be a technical interview round. They expect you to be technical even in leadership roles like Principal or VP, including coding for levels below manager. These cases are tough but fair, ensuring that hired employees have gone through a similar rigorous process. You'll feel like you earned the job. About the company culture, people at the same level get paid the same, there's no ranking, and they focus on local staffing for projects to save costs and build regional talent.
