Pariveda Associate Interview Questions
& Process

The interview process had 3 rounds. The first was a behavioral interview with the Office Managing VP, covering standard behavioral questions. The second was a technical phone interview where I discussed project technical details. The third and final round was an all-day onsite interview. It included a technical interview, a case study where I had to create an optimal schedule for a programming conference using data on rooms, capacities, instructors, and attendee preferences, and lunch with a peer. I then presented my solution and methodology to a panel of executives. Even though I didn't get an offer, the company impressed me with their professionalism, responsiveness, and thoroughness.

A recruiter reached out because she found my resume on indeed and told me about the company and the role I'd be interviewing for. The title 'associate' sounds junior but it's actually a step above a consultant at Pariveda. She also mentioned their salaries are fixed. I was still interested so I proceeded. I had a phone interview that I felt went well. It was mostly behavioral and about my past projects, with a bit of technical stuff. I heard back a week later that they were going with other candidates that fit their requirements better. It was a bit of a surprise since it was my first time hearing about the company and they found me. I thought I'd at least get to meet people there before getting rejected.

The Pariveda interview style is unique. You get a case study to work through and then present your solution to a panel. The case is realistic and makes you think. The panel asks good questions about your perspective and how you arrived at your solution. They want you to explain your thinking while describing the problem being solved. It's tough but a great learning experience that encourages creativity and introspection. It's valuable regardless of an offer, and I'd recommend it for growth. My interview went well and I got an offer quickly.
