I had a phone chat with a really upbeat woman before they set up an interview, and she made the company sound fantastic. I was excited to move on. The next step was quite something. They started a fan, making it hard to hear because the director next door didn't want to overhear us. I ended up interviewing with about 4 or 5 people back-to-back, and they all asked the same things. What should have been an hour-long interview stretched to 3 hours, leaving me totally drained. After this interview marathon, the cheerful woman said she'd keep me posted on the next steps. Everyone seemed to think the interview went well, so I was expecting an offer. A week later, I emailed her for an update since I hadn't heard anything. She mentioned they were swamped and had to pause things for a bit, this was around late March. Fast forward another two weeks, and still no word. For a role they claimed was 'urgently hiring,' they don't seem to be in a huge rush.

Right as I was finishing up my application, the Executive Director came out to the lobby to size me up. She checked me out before the actual interview. I was wearing a really professional outfit, a suit from Calvin Klein. Honestly, she looked really unkempt. I think I might have made her feel insecure.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The Executive Director wasn't a fan of my high heels, which is why I didn't get the job, as I found out later.
