Applied online and reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn. Had a preliminary interview with the Recruiting Manager and another HR person, which was really conversational. Then interviewed with the Recruiting Manager and HR Director, which was also conversational and informative. The final interview was with the Recruiting Manager, HR Director, and two HRBPs who asked technical, behavioral, and get-to-know-you questions. The overall process was good, and I was kept updated on next steps. Disappointed not to get the job, but it was a good experience. I'll look for future roles here.

I went through a pretty long interview process for a Program Manager job, which was posted as remote and supposedly supporting work outside Illinois. There were more than six people I talked to over three rounds of interviews. I tried to ask a bunch of specific questions to get the details straight. But, it started to seem like the job wasn't really what they said it was. It felt more like they were trying to get experienced Construction Management folks in Illinois to apply. It seems like they really wanted to hire senior CM people to get into the Illinois transportation scene, not actually fill a Program Manager opening. So, if you're a CM pro looking at this company, just be careful. Make sure the job is what they say it is, because how they're hiring makes me question how upfront they are.

I went through 4 rounds of interviews and everyone was aligned that I was a good fit for the team. When I was asked what salary I was looking for, I gave a number exactly in the middle of the range they shared for the role in my first call. I got an email response that there was actually $70k less allocated less for this role, and they didn’t thing it would be worthwhile continuing to talk. It was extremely disappointing after investing several hours of interviews.

The interview process was great! A HR person reached out within a week of applying and jumped on a call with me to tell me more about the company and see if I was a good fit before doing a formal interview (which made the in-person interview so much more comfortable). I loved that when I went to the in-person interview, they had notes from the HR person and built on my conversation with her. The process was super fast and efficient.
